On the threshold of Nowrooz Zoroastrian boys and girls cleaned up the “Pir-e Sabz” area
YAZD (Amordadnews): The custom of cleaning the space around Pir-e Sabz, before Nowrooz, was carried out on Friday, 16th Esfand (6th March 2009) by young Zoroastrian boys and girls.
More than 100 Zoroastrians participated in this program, from which more than half had come with their own cars.
During that full day, the whole area of P:ir-e Sabz, including the indoor spaces, were thoroughly cleaned up.
Coodination of this program and the expenses incurred, including lunch for the participants, was borne by the Zoroastrian Sharifabad Anjuman (Asha).
In addition to the above news, Sepanta Nicknam informed that three of the participants in this program had come from Tehran. They arrived Yazd Friday morning and left for Tehran the same evening.
This program is performed since the past three years.
