Charity Sales, organized by the Zoroastrian Students Club
A place for donating to the needy

TEHRAN (Amordadnews): The charity sales, organized by Zoroastrian Students Club, was set up, this year, on 23rd Esfand (13th March 2009) in the Iraj Hall.



As stated by Radman Khorshidian, Director of the Zoroastrian Students club, this program is organized every year, by the Welfare Council of the Club, and the Director of the Club, who also heads this Council.
In connection with these sales he explained: “We have invited skilled persons who produce handicrafts, to assist us in this program, and at the end of the sales, they may donate, as much as they wish, to the charity program.



Regarding the system for assisting the needy, he added: “With the help of our trustees, we have located 22 families in Tehran and 20 families in other provinces, and we distribute these aids, based on the  balance sheet.
He informed that the balance sheet of the Welfare Council of the Students Club for 1387 was on Amordad site, for information of donors and the Zoroastrian community.

Director of the Zoroastrian Students Club informed that next year’s charity sales will be held together with the charity festival, with the hope that more people are drawn towards charity work and help the needy with more urge.
The Zoroastrian Students Club, for the past many years, has arranged charity programmes, for instance, holding the charity festival, visit of the Kahrizak Sanatorium, setting up exhibition and sales of handicraft, blood donation, and showing movies.
