Tribute to the pure soul of Zarathushtra Spitaman

TEHRAN (Amordadnews):  5th Dey, Khor Izad Day of Dey month, is the anniversary of the demise of Zarathushtra Mehr Spitaman, the messenger of the monotheist creed.
This year, like all years, Zoroastrians of different localities in Yazd commemorated the demise of the messenger of wisdom and good thoughts.
Zoroastrians gathered to participate in the ceremonies.  Jashan Khani was held, all prayed together and paid tribute to the pure soul of Zarathushtra Spitaman.
Amordad camera was present in Allahbad, Narsiabad and Kasnavieh villages.


Jashan Khani to commemorate the demise of Zarathushtra in Allahabad Fire Temple, Yazd – for the Jashan Khani a white tablecloth is spread, and on it the green myrtle herb, a bowl of clean water, a fire censer, the tray of nuts and dried fruit (7 types of dried fruit, like dates, mulberry, fig, apricot and peach)
Mobeds prayed the gahanbar prayer and in the end the participants were offered whatever was laid on the table.
