222nd issue of Amordad on the stands
The tricolor flag of Iran

Behrooz Namiranian:  The 222nd issue of Amordad will be on the stands from 12 Dey (2 January) for two weeks.
The prime article is about Iran’s tricolor flag, its history and why it has three colors.
The editorial, by Behnam Moradian, with the heading “Ignorance based on ignorance”, opens the topic on insult to the beliefs of minority religions in Iran.
On page 2 you will read about cultural events.  On page 3 there is an article about
Sayee Park and the story of Karim Sayee.  You will also read, on this page, about a medicinal herb, and a famous Iranian dish.
The 4th page, the Shahnameh page, has an interview with an Armenian lady writer, under the heading: “Similarity between Shahnameh and the epics of Armenians.”  Also, a Shahnameh character, as always, is described.
On page 5, the ‘Thoughts’ page, an article is printed about ‘Dey’ and the right hand column, as usual, is about Gathas verses, the war of words and Iranian names.
The ‘Youth’ page is about an interview with Nasrin Khanjari, and stories about Ardeshir amanat and Faranak Timsari.
The 7th page contains various events in the Zoroastrian community, and on page 8 you will read about the history of Harat (in present day Afghanistan).
