Esfandiar Ekhtiari attended the Dahe’ Fajr program in Asha Anjuman:
Navojote ceremony should be encouraged for senior Zoroastrians
Mitra Khodadadi: “I propose to Asha Anjoman (Anjuman of Sharifabad inhabitants living in Tehran) to make necessary arrangement for holding Navjote ceremonies for Zoroastrian seniors who have not worn the sadra kusti upto now.”
In the Gahanbar of Asha Anjuman, Esfandiar Ekhtiari, the Zoroastrian MP, proposed that Asha Anjuman in Tehran arranges Navjote ceremonies for Zoroastrian seniors.

He added: “Kerman Zoroastrian Anjoman is performing group Navjote for adolescents. I hope that such programs are also held in Tehran and Yazd.”
Ekhtiari called the Sharifabad Zoroastrians as religious and righteous people who have always been pioneers in performing religious ceremonies.
He also spoke about Sharifabad as the custodian of three Pir’s in Yazd and gave his tribute to the late Goshtasb Belivani, the Pir-e Sabz custodian.

In another part of this ceremony, which was held on the occasion of ‘Dahe’ Fajr’ (the 10 days before the revolution) Sohrab Salamati, Director of Asha Anjuman, complained about Tehran Anjuman’s delay in giving out news about Asha Gahanbar and said: “As a result of this weak news coverage we could not hold group Navjote ceremonies in the past two years.”

Rostam Khosraviani, Director of Tehran Zoroastrian Anjuman, also gave a speech. Regarding the delay in giving out news about the ‘Dahe’ Fajr programs, he said: “It is less than two weeks that the Islamic Guidance Ministry has announced their approval to us, and planning for these programs by the Cultural Commission of the Anjuman took one week and then discussed in the Anjuman’s weekly meeting”
Khosraviani expressed his hope that in coming years more Zoroastrians would participate in these programs.
